B2 - Blacksmithing 2
(pre-reqs - B1) - $600 {Members - $540}
Ages 16+, duration 16hrs (2 full day classes)
This class is the next logical step in your path to developing the basic skills you learned in B1. Techniques will include more ornamental work such as scrolling, beginner toolmaking, heat treatment basics, collaring, and beginner power hammer work. Students will learn fire management in a solid fuel forge and the benefits thereof. Tools will include hammer and anvil as in the previous class, but will also include hydraulic press, fly press, Induction and coal/coke forges, and beginner Forge welding.
Please remember, Blacksmithing can be dangerous, and as such, the shop CODE OF CONDUCT MUST be adhered to at all times within the shop walls. Anyone found to be acting in an unsafe manner intentionally will be asked to leave for their safety and those around them.
